Vendor Spotlight: Element
My husband and I took some friends visiting from out of town to Element on a night I will not forget anytime soon. We arrived early in the evening, every table was reserved, and it looked for a moment like we might be turned away. Instead, the staff asked if we would mind dining on the patio, a space they had not planned to open that night. We said yes, and within minutes several more walk-in diners spotted us out there and joined the patio too, tables filling in one by one facing Main Street and the Gazebo. It turned into one of those perfect summer evenings that no amount of planning could have arranged on purpose.
Element is the work of chef-owners David and Stacy Gedney, and it shows in every detail, from the food to the room itself. The service that night was excellent, the food and drinks were terrific, and the signature cocktails were scrumptious. My friend ordered Stacy's meringue for dessert, and one bite told me I needed my own. I got a slice to go, and it was still fabulous days later straight out of the fridge. When I complimented Stacy on it, she lit up, she told me she loves making dessert, and comments like that are exactly why. That kind of genuine joy in the craft comes through in everything on the table.
David and Stacy have built more than a great restaurant, they have built a genuine gathering place, and the private event room reflects that. It comfortably handles larger parties with its own streamlined menu, and the manager mentioned they already rent the space out for exactly the kind of work Headwaters does, planning and meetings for groups who want a setting with real character.
